What is an Interior Designer?
An Interior Designer is a professional that plans and details commercial and residential building interiors. Their main purpose is to design and plan efficient living and working environments by organising space allocations, traffic flow, building services, furniture fixtures and surface fixtures. Interior Designers can custom design or specify furniture, lighting, walls partitions, flooring, colour and fabrics. An interior designed can work with architects at the design stage and can often recommend trades people in the areas of custom cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom construction.

Why do I need one?
An interior decorator, designer or colour consultant provide specialised, objective support in the areas of space, flow and aesthetics - freeing the client to oversee the project objectively. They save time, anxiety over the decision making process and money, whilst adding value to a fit-out with their professional touch, flair and experience. In each case, they can recommend custom made interior products like blinds, curtains, paints, sofas, furniture, tap ware, bathroom fixtures and fittings etc, from leading national and international suppliers. |
